You will be a part of the Purchasing team and responsible for the authorization of company resources to procure goods, components, equipment and services needed to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Purchase order placement and expediting
• Supplier management and performance measurement
• Provide forecast of raw material requirements with internal and external vendors on a periodic basis
• Work closely with engineering and manufacturing to ensure the best suppliers and components are utilized in the design; availability and lead times with suppliers
• Prepare supply chain summary reports of the BOM (Bill of Material) to clearly define cost, lead times, supplier locations, component reuse and supply chain strategies
• Place Purchase Orders (POs) with suppliers for material required for product BOMs during NPD process

What your background should look like:

• One + years of purchasing and/or production planning experience.
• Working knowledge of MRP in SAP environment is desirable.
• Working knowledge of assembly & manufacturing processes is desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple orders in a fast paced operation.
