Reports to:
Shelena Boykins, ELP Supervisor, Robert Brown ELP Section Manager
Basic Functions:
Under the direction of the ELP Manufacturing Supervisor, the Surface Mount Technician is responsible for running the Surface Mount Technology line and loading components. Clean machines and keep work area well organized. Complete production related documents. Change machinery to accommodate different products. Visually inspect boards to ensure quality.
Education:
High school Diploma and technical, mechanical and electronics training.
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years automotive electronics manufacturing with (PCB) manufacturing experience. Understanding of basic electronics and PCB assemblies. Ability to learn and operate technical equipment independently. Troubleshooting minor mechanical and electrical issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years automotive electronics manufacturing with PCB manufacturing experience.
IPC certification or equivalent. Experience with performing repairs on PCBs
Skills:
- Able to clean, changeover, and perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs of Surface Mount Equipment.
- Good communication skills, teamwork and attention to detail.
- Understanding of Advanced Electronics ability to trouble shoot PCB assemblies to component level.
- Must be available for weekend and daily overtime.
