SUMMARY:

POSITION IN LAS VEGAS NV

The Surveillance Operator observes activities that occur in all gaming and non-gaming areas. They report all violations of gaming, safety, health and/or policy and procedural violations that occur.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Thorough knowledge of all basic casino table games including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Poker, etc. Willing to train the right candidate.

Familiarity of slot machine games.

Ability to operate closed circuit television, video recording devices and remote control devices.

When assigned to the CCTV monitoring room, actively “patrol” the facility through the use of pan, tilt and zoom cameras and record all pertinent activity on the digital recording system. Maintain a log of events as they occur and complete incident reports as circumstances dictate.

Strong Ability to use a computer, Internet (Web based) products, and Microsoft Office products.

Monitors the operations conducted at automated bill breaker machines, automated gaming voucher and coupon redemption machines, automated jackpot payout machines and automated teller machines.

Thorough knowledge of property policies and procedures.

Thorough knowledge of Nevada gaming regulations and house gaming rules.

Must proactively notify management of any gaming, procedural and policy violations.

Must remain impartial and keep all actions and behaviors observed confidential.

Vision correctable to 20/20. A vision test may be required.

Must be able to give court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports.

Assists in random team member audits.

Other related duties as assigned

Expected to work Overtime in emergency coverage situations.

Must be available to work ANY shift

Following all directives of Surveillance Management

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Prefer at least 6 months’ previous experience in similar position within the gaming industry, but willing to train the right candidate

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Nevada Gaming Control Board registration required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Advanced mathematical comprehension required.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have Microsoft Office experience and knowledge of web based programs.
