As the authority in Survivability Engineering Staff, you will support System Engineering (SE) Special Disciplines/Specialties Engineering teams in one or more of the following areas:
- Applying electrical, electronics and physics theories to execute various tasks related to Survivability engineering field
- Ensuring that NASA, commercial, and military space vehicle and missile designs, from the component level to the system level, will meet performance requirements during and after exposure to specified environments; these environments include natural space radiation
- Conducting technical planning, specification requirements derivation, modeling and analysis, design, test planning and execution, documentation, requirements verification/validation to support overall system needs and act as technical consultant for management and customers
- Joining a Survivability Engineering group and will be partnered with other authorities.
- Serving in a key technical lead role independently, as or with others in executing Survivability tasks and results, while maintaining collaboration with other Survivability Engineers within the Enterprise.
Successful candidate will typically have 9+ years relevant professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Device Physics or a related subject area, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in Natural Space, Nuclear/Man-made Radiation environments or design hardness
- Experience in Electrical simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, PSPICE, etc.)
- Experience in laboratory environments and associated subject areas and equipment (e.g. data acquisition, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or signal generators)
- The eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship is required. Clearance not required prior to starting employment
Desired Skills:
- 14+ years expertise in Natural Space Radiation environments and Engineering
- Specialist in Radiation software tools (e.g. NOVICE, Srim/Trim, Novice/Geant4, Creme96, Creme-mc, Shieldose, Spenvis, Omere, Ap8/Ap8, and Ap9/Ae9)
- Physics education/background
- Significant experience working in Radiation facilities (e.g. test labs in universities)
- Electronic, electrical, electromechanical and electro-optical (EEEE) components
- Significant experience with Piece-part radiation testing, performance, and reliability
- Work and collaborate with peers and senior specialists from within and outside the engineering group
- Lead anomaly resolution teams
- Organized and able to effectively multi-task in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of sophisticated problems and train others in their application
- Missile or space segment design experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of
- Ability to lead multi-functional teams and lead multiple teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals
- Advanced degree in a related subject area
- Active or Current DoD Top Secret Security Clearance

The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
