1580 Utility Trailer has been in business for over 50 years and has been a family-owned business. We are full-service dealership for Utility dry vans trailers, refrigerated trailers, flat beds, Ottawa, and construction trailers. Our locations are in Salt Lake City, St George, and Las Vegas. 1580 Utility Trailer focuses on customer experience and employee satisfaction. This is a swing shift position with shift differential pay. Great work schedule 4 days 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday 1:00 pm - 11:30 pm. Sign on bonus $5,000.00

Swing Shift Semi-Trailer Technician

Duties:

Meet and maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair all makes and models of semi-trailers

Perform PM inspections and make necessary repairs on trailers

Troubleshoot ABS system and repair as needed

Disc and drum brakes, including wheel end repairs

Electrical work on lights and systems

Welding and light fabrication skills

Roll and swing door repairs

Minor body repairs

Support and help shop forman and team members

Other duties as directed

Qualifications

Preferable own tools and tool box or be willing to purchase

Keep an organized and clean work area

Prompt and reliable employee, self-starter with little supervision

1-2-year mechanic experience preferred but not required

Effective communicator and team player

Physical activities include: walking, being able to lift more than 20 lbs., twisting, turning, and climbing ladders

Able to pass a drug test

Compensation

Starting pay $20 no experience and varies with experience. Shift differential pay of up to $5.00 per hour

Monthly efficiency commission

Sign on bonus $5,000

Position is Monday – Thursday 4- 10's 1:00 pm - 11:30 pm and off on major Holidays
