• Acknowledge Christ as Savior and support the school’s Statement of Faith and Philosophy Statement.
• The System Engineer will support faculty, administration, and students in their daily use of technology. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with network administration, educational technology, and experience troubleshooting, maintaining and deploying Apple devices.
• Directly support all network users with network and end platform issues
• Configure, install and support all campus systems including firewall, servers, routers, switches, access points, physical security devices, audio-visual, projectors, printers, interactive boards, email, and school issued end user computing devices
• Monitor performance and ensure availability and reliability of assigned systems
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including security configurations for various operating systems
• Work with vendors to maintain product support
• Support and administer any required third-party applications
• Setup user accounts, permissions, and passwords on multiple platforms
• Assist with equipment rotation and replacement schedules of devices
• Both proactive and reactive maintenance of classroom technology equipment (projectors, document cameras, smartboard devices, etc…)

Education/Experience:

• Expertise with Windows, MacOS, and iOS operating systems and hardware platforms (iPads, MacBooks, laptops)
• Expertise with other standard end user equipment and software (printers, copier, desk phone systems, smartboards, Microsoft Office Suites, Apple platform software, and web-based applications)
• Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Network troubleshooting skills to analyze and resolve computer problems
• Strong work ethic with ability to manage multiple projects or tasks at once
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectivity with students, faculty, and administration
• Strong familiarity with JAMF Mobile Device Management platform or equivalent MDM system
• Familiarity with administration and operation of Google productivity tools (G-Suite)
• Working knowledge of strategies and methods for protecting information system assets from malicious activities, threats, and breaches (i.e. cybersecurity)
• Ability to identify and solve potential and actual network and client security issues through expertise in firewalls, anti-virus software, monitoring tools and evaluation of log files from a variety of network devices to identify and isolate the threat(s)
• Knowledge of WiFi protocols, deployment strategies, troubleshooting techniques and other skills necessary to ensure optimal performance of the wireless network
• 3 or more years of proven experience as a System Engineer or similar position
