Job description
The Contractor shall update the enterprise Linux baseline by developing and modifying Puppet modules. The Contractor shall ensure updates to enterprise Linux baseline adhere to sponsor change management process and are properly tested prior to deployment. The Contractor shall perform break/fix analysis of Linux related issues and aid sponsor stakeholders in Linux troubleshooting. The Contractor shall deploy OS and application patches across the sponsor enterprise. The Contractor shall maintain Linux Servers within the sponsor enterprise including provisioning servers. The Contractor shall update the enterprise Linux baseline to ensure compliance with FTE requirements. The Contractor shall implement changes to the enterprise Linux baseline to support containerization framework. The Contractor shall write/code customer scripts or programs using Python, Bash, C/C/++. The Contractor shall integrate, test, and support mission applications using the enterprise Linux baseline. The Contractor shall ensure the mission applications adhere to sponsor change management process. The Contractor shall develop Puppet modules to support mission applications on the enterprise Linux baseline. The Contractor shall deploy OS and application patches across the mission application to ensure compliance with FTE requirements.

- Demonstrated expertise managing Linux Servers (RHEL, CENTOS) in an enterprise environment Demonstrated expertise using deterministic configuration management tools (Puppet) System monitoring experience (memory, processes) via Linux command line (using commands such as top and PS)
- Demonstrated Linux troubleshooting skills (networking, file systems, repositories, configuration files, etc.) and ability to work with customers to identify and resolve issues
- Demonstrated expertise provisioning and operating Linux servers in accordance with organizational compliance requirements.
- Experience programming in Bash, Ruby and/or Python.
- Demonstrated expertise with Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing.
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator / Red Hat Certified System Engineer.
