Systems Administrator II

We are currently looking for a Systems Administrator II to join our team in Camas, WA. This role is full-time in-office. The pay range is $85,000-$105,000.

Primary Function:

The Systems Administrator II is responsible for providing systems and network support for internal employees including installation and maintenance of network software and hardware, network printers, servers, voice systems, and cloud services.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:

• Plan systems and system improvements, including:
  • Long-term system growth and end of life
  • Capacity planning
  • Strategy for servers, voice systems, storage, network, and printers.
• Perform critical system backups and recovery.
• Develop backup and recovery planning.
• Implement firmware.
• Participate in InfoSec activities.
• Identify areas of improvement to protect servers, internal and external networks, and endpoints.
• Provide Tier 1-3 technical support and guidance to employees.
• Perform System Administration activities:
  • Configure, deploy, and administer servers.
  • Administer voice system, email system, network printers, and storage.
  • Implement operating system updates and patches.
  • Implement and maintain internal networks, vLAN’s, firewalls, and anti-spam hardware.
  • Implement and maintain external networks and remote VPN’s.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server and network performance issues.

Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent training and experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in Systems Administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems, VMware, Linux Server, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, Exchange Online, IIS, Apache/Nginx, SharePoint, OneDrive, Endpoint Configuration Manager, Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated experience installing and maintaining network components, voice systems, Juniper access and core network switches, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience monitoring and collecting data pertinent to system operations and health and interpreting the information to identify, predict, and evaluate system and network requirements.
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, MariaDB/MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL; web applications, Docker, ITAR, and information security compliance.
• Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group.

Work Environment

Standard office environment with normal office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients or suppliers.
