Senior Systems Administrator TS/SCI

Summary

The System Administrator demonstrates experience in a range of system administration functional areas, including monitoring system performance; performing system performance tuning and trouble-shooting; optimizing system operation and resource utilization; performing system capacity analysis and planning; monitoring event and security logs; performing system patching; ensuring system integrity through regular back-ups, fail-safe, and recovery operations based on standard operating procedures; verifying that systems are in compliance with applicable IT security policies, procedures and guidelines; allocating and managing user accounts and privileges; and operating call logs and/or customer support functions.

Has in-depth knowledge of DOD, Agency, and/or industry standards and IT requirements. Acts as a mentor or advisory resource for colleagues with less experience; may run small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad Program/ Department/Section guidelines and policies. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.

CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.

• Qualifications
  • US citizenship required
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required
  • 3+ years’ directly applicable experience required 5+ preferred
  • Coding experience with Python, Java, C++, etc.
  • DevSecOps application integration
  • Cross-Domain solution integration
  • Familiar with data ingest/stream processing, extract, transform, load (ETL), message bus implementation (Kafka, NiFi, Spark, etc.)
  • Familiar with Back-End Integration and Database technology (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Accumolo, etc.)
  • Familiar with cloud architectures (AWS, Azure)
  • Familiar with container orchestration tools (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
  • Security+, Network+ - desired
