Major Duties
Under general supervision of the Assistant Director of Systems in Enrollment Services (ES), the System Analyst provides ongoing systems/functional support for the student data systems used in ES. The incumbent runs daily, weekly, and monthly reports/queries for departments within ES and makes user specified changes to any of those queries.
  • Aids in the daily and weekly download of data in bulk from third party vendors and uploads that data into PeopleSoft in areas such as applications, electronic transcripts, diploma orders, etc.

  • Collaborates with end-users to identify department needs and assists in the development and documentation of system processes and procedures.

  • Provides system maintenance and tests Peoplesoft, Target X CRM, Common Management System (CMS), and Information Technology (IT) upgrades, fixes, and enhancements to ensure data integrity and sure the modifications are compliant with ES departmental policies and procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications
  • Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field.

  • Certification training and applied experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis up to two years.

  • Equivalent to six months of full-time, progressively responsible field-related experience, preferably in performing data analysis or related experience using PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Student Records system.


  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • General knowledge of: programming and testing methods and techniques for software applications like PeopleSoft and system analysis for Higher Education student data; general knowledge of specific industry standard applications programming language and of standard systems analysis techniques; and generally accepted documentation methods. Thorough knowledge of PC/MAC based web browsers and related tools.

  • Ability and specialized skills to: analyze problems; propose effective solutions; understand functional and procedural requirements; relate solutions to management, technical staff, and users; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; make presentations; conduct meetings; provide user training; and prepare programming and user documentation. Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with coworkers, faculty, staff, students and the campus community.

  • Classification / grade: 0400 / Analyst/Programmer / 1

  • The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $3713 - $4264 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $3713 - $7149 per month.

  • HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.

  • REG: This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.

  • The position allows telecommuting for up to 5 days a week; however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
