Chevo is hiring an experienced Systems Analyst III to join our expanding firm. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business and become a trusted advisor. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of computer system principles, automated data processing functions, and software languages to develop solutions to user requirements. The candidate will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to program/project management, program governance, and system development life cycle management activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support all phases of the Governance process for the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (known by the client as the Service Delivery Framework (SDF)) from initiation to deployment. Utilize knowledge of the waterfall and agile software development methodology to understand how governance should be applied to products implemented using various technologies such as Cloud, DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), SaaS, PaaS, etc.
  • For COTS products, perform due diligence by doing product research on the vendor’s website or other resources to get a good understanding of the product and be able to validate the product data prior to determining the lifecycle requirements.
  • For new products, review vendor websites, examine release notes, technical specs, and analyze technical support instructions.
  • For products following an Agile approach, collaborate with the delivery team and participate in planning meetings to understand the vision, goals, scope of the product release to determine lifecycle requirements; review product backlogs and assess the impact on lifecycle.
  • Analyze and evaluate product initiation requests, documentation, functional requirements, and translate them into SDF requirements to assess for proper lifecycle requirements, assess the suitability of information systems in terms of their intended outcomes, and consult with the project teams.
  • Audit and maintain the SDF SharePoint site for data accuracy and compliance; review technical documentation for products going through the lifecycle on both a recurring and ad-hoc basis.
  • Facilitate the Technical Review Board (TRB) in coordinating projects to present at Open House or Design Review. Review the technical design documents submitted by a project team, providing quality checks and technical recommendations to the TRB Chair.
  • Schedule meetings, manage materials, prepare the weekly TRB meeting agenda, and minute’s document. Document TRB meeting minutes capturing all questions and comments made during the meeting, recording motions, actions, and decisions.
  • Track action items, perform follow up with Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure recommended action items are complete.
  • Monitor and manage the TRB group mailbox, maintain the existing TRB standards, tools and templates, and process documentations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 12 years' professional experience
  • 8 years' experience in systems analysis, information systems, or project management
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Extensive knowledge of hardware, software, and product trends
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • PMI, PMP or ITIL Certification
  • Direct experience providing federal Project Management consulting services
  • Demonstrated experience with IT business processes and SDLC
  • Ability to explain technical details
  • Initiative-taking individual possessing excellent time management and organizational skills
