Job Description:

Kaseya is currently looking for a motivated mid to senior level systems engineer. This individual would be a key contributor to the Kaseya's growing global Cloud Operations team supporting Kaseya's and Datto's SAAS offerings. This position is to support Kaseya's "follow the sun" support model to ensure continuity of support and provide customer focused solutions to Kaseya's customers. With Datto's acquisition, we are growing at a very rapid pace, we need some one that is skilled in working in a fast-paced environment with high growth potential. This position will plan, implement, and document technology-based solutions that enable our business stakeholders. Primary technologies this role will be responsible are Windows and Linux for operating systems, Cisco UCS and VMWare for virtualization and Pure, NetApp and Dell for storage servers.


What you will be doing:

  • Operate as a technical SME on infrastructure projects pertaining to Storage, Virtual Machines, Systems Management, Cloud Services, Monitoring, and Capacity Planning.
  • Ensure reliability and availability of Kaseya's large global datacenter footprint.
  • Provide support for escalated issues from NOC as needed; work with other SREs and product managers to resolve complex issues.
  • Ensure Kaseya's cloud infrastructure is kept up to date with all the latest software and security patches per established update procedures and protocols.
  • Create proposals, technical documents, and maintain existing best practice confluence pages.
  • Work with Kaseya's global team of site reliability engineers to deploy latest solutions to ensure Kaseya stays cutting edge on infrastructure technology.
  • Provide capacity reports, perform regular maintenance activities.
  • Identify activities to automate and deploy automation to production systems.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation with the team to provide afterhours support.
  • Participate in troubleshooting exercises and assist in drafting root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate in large projects such as data center migrations, new technology implementations and automation efforts.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a 4-year degree in a relevant field with 3 to 5 years of work experience in a systems engineer capacity.
  • Be able to work under tight deadlines with good time management skills is a key requirement.
  • Expertise in VMWare virtualization technologies, Windows, Linux, Cisco UCS for compute, Pure, Dell and NetApp for Storage technologies.
  • Understanding of network switches and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Need to have attention to detail and always keen to improve attitude.
  • Knowledge in Kubernetes and DevOps will be a huge plus.
  • Knowledge in monitoring, alerting and configuration management is essential for some of job functions.
  • Awareness of IT security best practices is a must.
  • Maintain a professional and helpful demeanor.
