We are searching for a Systems Engineer to support the (FAA) Enterprise Architecture and Requirements Services Division.

The Systems Engineer will have the knowledge, skills, and experience to:

• Develop, maintain, and integrate the Enterprise Architecture Model which includes 30+ baseline (“as-is”) and target (“to-be”) architecture diagrams and associated data related to goals, operations, functions, systems/services, information/data, etc. Leverage documentation, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), program-level architecture, and requirements data to capture and update architecture data and prepare and publish associated description documents
• Support the transition to Digital Engineering/MBSE including a transition of the FAA’s Systems Engineering Framework
• Develop traceability from high-level Operational Improvements down through the Enterprise and program-level Architecture to program Requirements, ensuring strategic initiatives are being accurately traced to program implementation
• Collaborate with FAA stakeholders to structure architecture data in a format that enables more robust analysis of system interfaces, data flows, and related communication systems
• Support FAA Programs by developing guidance for and reviewing artifacts for the Acquisition Management System (AMS) process, ensuring vertical integration with the Enterprise and horizontal integration across programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of experience (FAA experience a plus)
• Python and JavaScript a plus
