The Systems Engineer will be responsible for executing the day-to-day operations of the TBS (and affiliated entities) cloud infrastructure. The position will perform hands-on technical tasks and collaborate with team members in the Enterprise Solutions Group and third-party vendors.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Performs day-to-day and project-oriented tasks of the TBS System Engineering team including cloud engineers, system administrators, and vendors.
- Identifies and participates in the automation of processes and procedures for cloud solutions (Azure, AWS) as well as integrations with other technical products and processes.
- Develops a continuous monitoring process enabling visibility of application performance, Infrastructure monitoring, and security threats.
- Participates in project planning activities.
- Assists in identifying technical requirements.
- Aides in the creation of technical design and sizing specifications.
- Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather technical requirements, design solutions, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalable solutions.
- Participates in designing, building, and implementing efficient end-to-end provisioning of automation solutions.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with the Development, Service Desk, and Security and Compliance teams to drive service improvement.
- Ensures adherence to current best practices, company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Participates in technical reviews.
- Contributes to and develops deployment plans and may schedule the installation of new modules, upgrades, and fixes to the production environment.

Qualifications, Education, & Special Requirements:
- BS degree in Programming/Systems or Computer Science preferred.
- At least three (3) years of related experience in a large-scale, enterprise environment is required.
- Three (3) years of experience building or maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure (Network, IaaS, PaaS, and/or Security) required.
- Strong experience in scripting languages including JavaScript, PHP, Python, PowerShell, Perl, etc. required.
- Experience automating/integrating a broad range of systems and services required.
- Knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and observability tools such as Cloudwatch, NewRelic, Dynatrace, Splunk, AppDynamics, Catchpoint, Prometheus, or similar required.
- Experienced in working effectively with cross-functional teams required.
- Knowledge of automation platforms including VMware vRA/vRO, Puppet, Azure Automation, AWS Cloud Formation, or similar required.
