This position is based at Able’s headquarters in Manassas, VA, and at client project sites throughout the Washington, DC, Metro area. Installers are responsible for disassembly, transport, and assembly of systems furniture on assigned jobs and commercial projects. Installers are responsible for personal supervision to assigned client projects, providing superior client service, providing superior employee management, and contributing to the growth of the company while continuing to enhance his/her own professional and personal skills. This position includes frequent evening and weekend work.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in using hand and electric tools to assemble furniture.
  • Spatial reasoning skills.
  • Must be able to follow instructions from Lead to ensure proper installation in a timely fashion.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Good communication & presentation skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be respectful, honest and disciplined.
  • Capable of lifting 80 lbs.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background investigation and pre-employment drug test.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for assembly, disassembly, reassembly, and delivery/installation, of modular office furniture systems.
  • Reviews floor plans and exercises space planning.
  • Problem solving/troubleshooting/decision making.
  • Inspects furniture for proper operability per manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Organization and compliance to company policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Facilitator for ensuring each job to executed professionally, comprehensively, and completely.
  • Work with client and staff (facilities, HR, security, etc.) to ensure all contractual requirements are met.
  • Adherence to all safety policies and procedures
  • Doing whatever it takes to get the job done in a safe and reasonable fashion.
