Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAIC is seeking a T38 Subject Matter Expert to support our Air Force Customer. The primary responsibilities of this role are to support development of courseware and syllabi to improve current Air Force fighter and bomber crew training, with an eye on future training requirements, training methods, and training aircraft.

This is a part-time position (approx 20-30 hrs/week) and a one-year project. Must be local to Randolph AFB.



This person will be responsible for:

Coordinating with ISD and Graphic designers to create accurate content, validating training materials, coordinating with the customer to clarify requirements for academic content, QA and testing of courseware, training materials, and training devices, and developing recommendations to the customer for courseware and syllabi that meet stakeholder requirements for flight training.

Develops, directs, plans and evaluates training programs or activities to meet external customer or internal employee learning objectives.

Collaborates with customer or internal functional organization to develop, enhance, and/or evaluate new or existing learning objectives and course content. May create course content, training materials, visual aids and documentation to support a variety of instructional formats such as lecture, lab exercises, field training, computer-based training (CBT), and/or web-based training (WBT).

Experience with Prepare3D (P3D) flight simulator T-38 model and immersive training device virtual reality a plus.

Qualifications

REQUIRED: Experience as a T38 Instructor Pilot.

Bachelor's and ten (10) years or more of related experience, Master's and eight (8) years, or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.

DESIRED:

  • Broad experience as an aviation academic instructor.
  • Experience with the Instructional System Design (ISD) process.
  • Experience as instructor in 19AF formal training, especially Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals (IFF).
  • IFF Instructor Experience



REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; no clearance required to start, SAIC will help obtain
