Job Summary
The Tableau Administrator is responsible for providing support for server administration configuration and security, as well as the development of advanced visualization dashboards. The incumbent oversees the publication and optimization of dashboards, as well as manages data connections. They are responsible for publishing visualization documents and managing data and have expertise in navigating Oracle databases and optimizing SQL scripts and procedures. Additionally, this role supports the design and development of visualizations and dashboards, and creates SQL queries and stored procedures to extract data from various data stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the visualization server, which includes tasks such as upgrades, tuning, security, and overall management.
- Provide leadership with advance knowledge of Visualization Creation, optimization, and server and site administration.
- Create and design advanced visualizations and dashboards according to instructions and university needs.
- Collaborate with users and IR&A team members to identify their needs and requirements. Analyze issues and provide recommendations for solutions.
- Evaluate, generate, create, and oversee deployment of Oracle SQL queries, stored procedures, and objects to extract information from various data repositories.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of industry best practices, visualization tools, such as Tableau & Power BI is required. Working knowledge of SQL, Oracle database, and Python is recommended. Working knowledge of analytics, BI, and basic understanding of statistics and programming languages.

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related technical field and two (2) years of related experience required. Graduate study in computer science, economics, mathematics, statistics, public or business administration, or engineering, relevant work experience in Institutional Research preferred.

Compensation
The salary range for this classification is $4,678 to $11,547 per month.

Time Base
Full-time temporary position for one (1) year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
