The Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort, a Davidson property, is currently looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Accounting team. Situated in the heart of North Miami Beach, with direct access to soft sands, azure waters and the Newport Pier, the beautiful AAA Diamond- rated Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort elevates the Miami Beach Resort experience. What you will be doing:
The Accounting Manager assures property operations meet internal audit standards, ensures the security of assets and the accurate recording of liabilities, income, expenses and other transactions. Assists in directing the preparation of the annual budget and subsequent forecasts, updates and maintains the data processing equipment and systems, and supervises financial statement preparation and account reconciliation. Selects, trains, disciplines and supervises staff in the department.
What you bring to the table:
- BA or BS degree in accounting or finance with proven supervisory skills.
- One year experience in the hotel industry preferred.
- Required statistics and GAAP knowledge.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms.
- Proven awareness of local, state and federal government requirements.
