Ablamsky & Company CPAs is looking for a Tax Manager with 6+ years of experience in public accounting. Our clients include some of the wealthiest and most well-known titans of the hedge fund/private equity fund industry. We are a small team that runs circles around the Big4+, growing at 20%+ per year, with margins that are higher than almost anyone else in the industry. A diligent, high quality tax manager will immediately be on "the partner track" in a very high-performing small tax firm.

You will use your expertise in taxation to provide compliance and consulting services to hedge fund/investment management clients, and their private businesses and/or investment entities, etc. You will supervise/train staff, review individual and entity returns, and work closely with the Partners.

Responsibilities:

· Review of complicated individual and entity tax returns

· Effective supervision and training of staff

· Keeping abreast of changes in industry regulation, and maintain competency through continuing education

Basic Qualifications:

· 6+ years of public accounting or consulting experience in private client services

· Experience working for a Big 4 or large national/regional accounting firm

· Superior excel skills and the ability to create/review advanced workpapers

· Strong experience with private client services (personal taxation, trust taxation, estate & gift taxation, charitable taxation, with exposure to partnership taxation and corporate taxation, including State & Local income (SALT)/Franchise tax for multi-state filers). Exposure to reporting and filings related to foreign assets, investments and holdings would be a plus

· Experience in the review of tax returns for wealthy family members and their trusts, investment entities, and private businesses.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information and tax laws

Preferred Qualifications:

· Masters of Taxation, or MBA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
