- Manage the indirect compliance function for all Cordis entities in EMEA Region
- Prepare monthly tax reconciliations of VAT accounts
- Monitor regulatory developments and manage the introduction of change, as required
- Research and maintain VAT rates for distributor channels throughout European Region
- Lead Initiatives to create new process and develop efficiencies in the indirect tax trocess
- Advise the business on the indirect tax implications of their International Operations
- Respond to customer and business VAT related inquires
- Review vendor invoices to ensure proper VAT rates are being charged
- Provide business unit support for VAT issues arising from separation from Cardinal Health
- Partner with key areas in the business to ensure compliance with SII Reporting, MTD and similar automated requirements in the region
- Deliver educational training to key internal stakeholders (purchasing, commercial operations, etc)
- Quarterly calculation of the Company’s indirect tax reserves
- Monitor Company’s withholding tax obligations and manage compliance process
- Support tax audits, including gathering information, responding to audit requests, tax research and assisting in preparing appeals
- Support the global and regional annual financial statement audits surrounding VAT and withholding tax accounts
- Ensure compliance with internal controls requirements
- Works on special projects as directed, including coordination/collection of information
- Create and maintain excellent relationships with key colleagues across all areas of Cordis
- Establish and maintain strong relationship with external consultants on tax matters
- Willingness to expand into other areas within the Tax Department, if needed
- 5+ years' experience in national public firm or global corporate tax experience
- Proven extensive technical expertise within the field of indirect taxes
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
- CPA/CTA or equivalent Preferred
- Certificate in VAT Preferred
- Medical Device Industry Experience Preferred
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
