The Islamic Center of Morris County Preschool is a faith-based multilingual, play-based preschool in Rockaway, New Jersey with two classes consisting of 2.5 to 5-year-olds, open from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Our school is looking for a dedicated, organized, responsible educator with a passion for working with children and education. We have an opening for a full-time position.

The Islamic Center of Morris County Preschool provides children the opportunities to explore and challenge themselves while in a safe and nurturing environment with an emphasis on Islamic values. We provide a loving and collaborative community to create strong bonds and friendships. We believe that play is the most valuable aspect of early childhood. Play facilitates growth in all areas of social, emotional, and physical development, as well as setting a foundation for future academic learning while encouraging the use of a child’s imagination and curiosity. We encourage open-ended and self-directed play, giving children the ability to choose what interests them, and it is our job as teachers to observe, guide and scaffold those interests.

Requirements and Education:

- Prior experience at a pre-school a must.

- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required

- A genuine love and passion for working with children.

- Ability to communicate with parents effectively and professionally.

- Capacity to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to work patiently with children and set limits with compassion.

- Arabic language skills a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
