Somerset Hills YMCA is currently seeking caring and passionate individuals who are interested in making a difference in the lives of young children. We are in need of a part time Teacher's Assistants that share our commitment to nurture and support our children, promote youth development, and foster a sense of social responsibility. The Teacher's Assistant reports to the Head Teacher and is responsible for assisting with Arts & Crafts projects, conducting "circle time", helping during lunch/snacks, bottle feeding infants and diapering/potty training.

The ideal candidate would be available for the FULL Year!

• Creates a warm and nurturing environment
• Encourages and motivates children to learn and grow
• Builds positive relationships with children, families, and staff
• Implements developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Assists with daily routines and general classroom duties

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 2 to 5 years of age
• At least 18 years or older
• Positive classroom management skills
• Must have the ability to communicate well with children, parents, and staff
• Will be a team player
