Job Summary
The Teaching Kitchen Chef will lead and coordinate scheduling, programing and running of teaching kitchens as determined including but not limited to ordering, TK station set up, teaching, and breakdown for each course.
**
*Key Responsibilities:*

• Owns the Teaching Kitchen at home unit
• Coordinates, develops and maintains teaching materials to be used in teaching kitchens and food literacy program initiatives
• Identifies new revenue sources-team building, fund raising and social / networking events
• Drives engagement among all Teaching Kitchen programming
• Works collaboratively with onsite management team and Registered Dietitian as applicable to grow and evolve the program
• Cultivates user engagement and enablement through culinary and food literacy
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Culinary Arts Degree from a recognized Culinary school or Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in culinary & hospitality management, food and nutrition or related field of study required, desirable
• 5+ years as a Culinary instructor or chef
• Possess knowledge of current food trends and sustainability
• Demonstrate a personal interest and experience in culinary innovation and teaching healthy cooking techniques to the public.
• Self-motivated, independent, high energy, organized, flexible and has excellent time management skills.
• Is engaging and comfortable working in different teaching environments
