Overview:
The Technical Application Manager, Pharmacy Systems will oversee a team of application support analysts and provide technical support and problem resolution related to FWLTC suite of pharmacy systems. Whenever there is a problem with the software, the Technical Application Manager, Pharmacy Systems, or a member of their team will review the issue, come up with a solution, and collaborate with other internal IT and business operations teams i.e., FW implementation, system engineering, security, end user technology, pharmacy operations, etc. as needed.
The Technical Application Manager, Pharmacy Systems will oversee the quality assurance department and staff, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organizations FrameworkLTC suite of products prior to release into production while adhering to internal change control processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage, maintain, and repair pharmacy software applications as well as software and systems upgrade while minimizing impact and risk to pharmacy operations and emergency releases.
  • Leading teams of IT support and QA analysts in the upgrading and maintenance of software.
  • Work closely with the FW Implementation team on conversion and new start projects to ensure that all systems and security needs are met on time by other internal IT departments to avoid project delays.
  • Monitoring the roll-out of new software applications to ensure there are no problems or operational downtime.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any day-to-day problems with business application software and build a range of meaningful recommendations to the appropriate teams.
  • Maintaining up-to-knowledge of the latest software developments.
  • Managing all application server upgrades, including but not limited to FW, ECM, drug, and interface updates.
  • Ensure that all process change, pharmacy operations requests are routed to the FW Best practices teams and resolved accordingly.
  • Monitor and report regularly on support ticket types, timeliness of ticket resolution, and volume of support tickets to staff appropriately and suggest any training or process change recommendations to the FW Implementation or training teams. Maintain and promote the Service Now support process.
  • Oversee the collaboration of the QA, implementation, and training teams to ensure quality testing and training upgrade rollouts to pharmacy operations.
  • Maintain system best practices relating, but not limited to application security, user release notes, upgrade calendars and communications, database maintenance, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Collaborate with eMAR integration teams to ensure that all customer project timelines are met; intervening or escalating when necessary.
  • Act to resolve issues which prevent the team from working effectively.
  • Coach others recognizing their strengths and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Application Management experience
    5+ years of Management experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Information Technology, Management Information Systems Bachelors or Master’s degree
  • FrameworkLTC, ECM, DocuTrack experience
  • Long Term Care Pharmacy Experience
  • ServiceNow experience
  • Microsoft SQL server experience
  • Understanding of infrastructure concepts: server, networking, web server, relational databases, etc.
