This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced systems engineer or highly adept and agile data scientist to get in on the ground floor of a high priority, high impact national security program. This SME will be working directly alongside our client and various high ranking stakeholders to tackle some of the hardest-to-solve problems. This position is perfect for a self-starter, mission oriented, entrepreneurial-spirited Technical consultant.
Key Responsibilities
- 50%-75% CONUS and OCONUS travel
- Collection of stakeholder requirements, gaps, and assessments
- Design and/or advise on test environments for various communication systems
- Ensure real life practicality of test systems and collect data to measure the successfulness of interoperability
- Perform forensics on multiple communications to understand how they work and may be able to talk across systems
- Identifying the core standards for interoperability needed for any generic technology being used and being able to accurately grade technologies based on that
- Varying levels of stakeholder engagement in order to integrate multiple systems, customers, and vendors
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- TS/SCI clearance
- Experience with communication systems
- Basic familiarity with modern geospatial concepts/products such as GeoJSON, Cursor-on-Target, PostGIS, Leaflet, Mapbox, Palantir Gaia
- Basic familiarity with streaming data and interoperability concepts, such as OpenAPI, data dictionaries, S3, Kafka, gRPC, MQTT
- Basic familiarity with DoD or similar secure networks, such as SIPR, cross-domain solutions, C2E, CSfC
- Strong familiarity with open-source, modern development practices, such as GitHub, CI/CD concepts, licensing, documentation and community best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communicator
