POSITION: Technical Production Manager

REPORTS TO: Associate Pastor of Music and Worship Arts

JOB CLASSIFICATION: Hourly (non-exempt); 3/4 time

HOURS: 30 hours a week
Working on Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings is expected. Other hours are flexible as arranged with the Associate Pastor of Music and Worship Arts to include Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter events.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Technical Production Manager is an essential part of the worship arts team, helping to proclaim the Word through audio, visuals, lighting, and live-streaming. This person is responsible for being creative in these areas assisting the church in creating excellent modern and traditional services. The Technical Production Manager will be responsible for leading a team of people to serve in audio/visual ministry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

● Oversee sound, video, live streaming, and lighting for all worship services (regular Sunday worship and seasonal worship services) and other events;

● Recruit, train, and lead a team of A/V volunteers for Sunday mornings to prepare audio/video equipment for worship;

● Work with the Associate Pastor of Music and Worship Arts to find the best technologies needed to keep the Sanctuary, Chapel, and fellowship hall up to date and usable for all to hear and see;

● Create ProPresenter show weekly (or enable and supervise a volunteer);
● Create lighting specific to each worship service, being creative, especially in the modern service;
● Keep up with all equipment, fixing, updating, and replacing as needed;
● Ensure set-up and operation of equipment for streaming of worship services and other productions;
● Serve on the Worship Design Team;
● Help with live-streaming of small group studies as needed;
● Assist in finding A/V support for worship services, funerals, weddings, and special events as needed;
● Keep up to date with the latest technology and ways to incorporate it into worship services;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

● 5+ years of A/V experience
● Proficiency in/knowledge of live video broadcast production, including video switcher, camera, recording gear, digital video equipment, digital sound systems, monitoring systems, lighting systems, video distribution systems, and digital media servers

● Knowledge of software such as ProPresenter, soundboard applications, LightKey, Dante, etc.
● Ability to adapt when plans change
● Ability to work with diverse individuals; communicate well in written and verbal forms
