• Formal certification or coursework in project management or equivalent. (e.g Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince 2, etc. )
• 5+ years of experience in project management.
• Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management. Must be well organized and able to work effectively under time pressure. Proven ability to effectively manage project budgets is essential
• Demonstrable experience in programme delivery of large cross functional programs, ideally within an infrastructure environment
• Proficiency with project management planning and reporting tools.

Job summary AWS has an immediate opening for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support our European Data Center infrastructure growth initiatives. Based out of our Dublin or London offices, the TPM will lead cross functional teams to drive the implementation and deployment of data center expansion projects to meet the demands of our rapidly growing business. An ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience in program management in the context of managing complex, cross functional programs. A Bachelor's degree is required along with strong interpersonal and communication skills needed to influence multiple stakeholders and technical subject matter experts. A talent for successfully delivering programs while effectively managing large capital budgets is essential. A successful candidate will be a strong communicator both written and verbally, and will lead multi-discipline, highly cross functional project teams. Preferably, you will be familiar with one or more AWS products, have experience of working in a complex engineering environment and will have worked as a technical project manager on increasingly complex projects. Experience in data center technologies like HVAC, power systems, cable plant, server, or networking will be considered a plus but is not required. You will work comfortably with stakeholders from multiple teams, align priorities and ensure all stakeholders work towards and deliver key milestones necessary for delivering data center capacity for our customers at the right time and cost. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial and very busy environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role. You will clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote teams.
