Oil States is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of Technical Sales Rep in Arlington, TX.


In our organization, the Technical sales Rep has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting our commitments.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for sales and marketing, technical sales and service support for multiple product lines. Duties include overall coordination of all activities associated to ensure orders are completed according to engineering specifications, delivered on time and meet the customer’s requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Make sales calls and support customers regarding products and services.
  • Provide operational and technical guidance.
  • Assist in developing new customers in markets already served.
  • Search out and exploit sales opportunities in markets not currently served.
  • Advise clients of new or existing technologies and their applications
  • Perform market analysis and develop sales strategies based on analysis.
  • Coordinate quote preparation, producing quotes and follow up with customer.
  • Coordinate between manufacturing, engineering and quality as it relates to customer requirements.
  • Provide effective contact, follow up and communication with customers on a regular basis.
  • Travel as necessary to perform duties.
  • Perform in house coordination as necessary.
  • Assist department managers to ensure customer fulfillment.
  • Provide sales and margin forecasts to upper management, assist in preparation of annual operating plans

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend trade shows and visit Customers.
  • Investigate methods to simplify, streamline or standardize production activities.
  • Investigate and implement methods which will reduce product line costs and improve capacity.
  • Provide support to A/R in collecting delinquent invoice payments.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Engineering or other technology-related degree with at least 3 years of experience in the sales of machinery or machinery components. Equivalent industry experience or transferable sales and service experience may also be considered.
  • Knowledge of elastomer materials and processes a plus.
  • Working knowledge of computers and software (Project Scheduling, Word Processing, and Spreadsheets).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present complex technical information to individuals, small and large groups, customers and other employees.
  • Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Use of a computer, telephone and other office equipment, including copier/scanner, etc.
  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Moderate bending, stooping, carrying, reaching and use of stairs.
  • Exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally.

By contractual requirements this position requires that all persons establish proof of US Citizenship. Dual Citizenship (US citizenship and citizenship of some other country) cannot be accepted. You will be required to provide original or certified copies of documents establishing your citizenship prior to consideration for this position.
