Position Details:

Title: Data Science Technical Writer
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 12 Months with possible hire

Overview:
This opening is for an experienced technical writer who is passionate about enabling teams to maximize the value of their data. This technical writer will be part of the Behavioral Data & Analytics Enablement product team. This person will work with product, design, and engineering to create tools, training and documentation that enables collection, curation and use of analytics data at scale. The success metrics for this product team will be data value, data quality, process speed (time to value), and ease of use.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, Library Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years software development technical writing experience, ideally across web and native platforms

Experience with open-source software

  • Experience with modern micro-service architectures
  • Detail oriented and work well in a team and individually
  • Proven ability to achieve intended outcomes through influence and collaboration
  • Understanding of the entire development process (design, development and deployment)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times
  • Excellent organizational, time, and project management skills
  • Business-minded approach to time, costs, and deadlines
  • Provided examples of previous tech writing or other publicly published materials
  • Ability to identify when documentation is needed
  • Ability to present complex topics and data in clear, concise text
  • Ability to proofread technical material for consistency and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity to achieve agreement / consensus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

•Basic knowledge of Markdown/HTML
•Experience using version-control platforms such as GitHub
•Experience using Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira
•Experience using PowerBI to create dashboards
