Position Title: Technology Integration SpecialistReports to: Director of Communications and Instructional TechnologyPosition Goals: To guide and support teachers and students in utilizing technology as a tool for teaching and learning. To identify technology needs for each school site. Qualifications & Skills: Masters degree preferred DESE Instructional Technology Specialist License Teaching Experience Strong writing, communication and presentation skills Effective interpersonal skillsExperience using iPads or Apple in education preferredResponsibilitiesTo lead site-based and district technology professional development programs for teachers To support teachers in the integration of technology into the curriculum To initiate, encourage, and support teacher innovation in the use of technology as a tool for teaching and learning To identify, recommend, and demonstrate software and hardware applications to meet the needs of all learners To collaborate with the other Technology Integration Specialist, Curriculum Specialists, and the district's Technology Operations Manager on district-wide initiatives To maintain clear communication with the building Principal regarding site-based and district technology initiatives and direction To assist Principals in developing and managing the schools' technology budgets and managing MCAS testing Manage equitable distribution of the technology resources in the school To communicate issues related to hardware malfunctions and repair to the Technical Operations Office To evaluate the effectiveness of technology integration on a regular basis To provide leadership in ethical, legal, and human issues of technology as related to education and policy To participate in District Technology Group meetingsWith the Director of Curriculum, collaboratively explore and pursue alternative funding sources for technology and related professional development, based on site needs Salary: As indicated by placement on teacher contract
