Nxu is developing firmware and software for its embedded control modules for battery, traction, chassis function, comfort, lighting and other systems.

You will have the opportunity to architect and build out the company's automated firmware testing and release infrastructures and become the owner of both.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop test plans and internal tools, and use them to test our firmware on our custom hardware
  • Design, build and use automated test environments
  • Help diagnose bugs and performance issues at both firmware and hardware level
  • Drive issues to closure and help to maintain the quality of source code being developed
  • Propose, document, and implement better ways of doing things

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Programming C, C++ and Python under Linux and Microsoft Windows
  • Development of automated test environments for embedded firmware
  • Debugging and root cause analysis
  • Use of protocol analyzers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes
  • Familiarity with embedded peripherals like GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI, ADC, USB

IDEALLY, YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH:

  • Test automation frameworks
  • Performance profiling, analysis, and optimization
  • Linux command line
  • CI tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, Github Actions
  • Real Time operating system principles
  • Developing firmware for NXP automotive chipsets, S32 Design Studio
  • ISO 26262

AND YOU’RE SOMEONE WHO IS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher. CS, CE/CSE preferred
  • Excellent communicator
