Outstanding data security company has an immediate opening for an Test Engineering Technician to join their team.

This position will support engineering and production to develop and manufacture encrypted storage devices, playing a key role in the development, testing and root cause analysis of electronic circuitry. This is a hands-on role in the test organization, developing new methodologies, incorporating new tools, identifying test requirements for verification and validation, and taking part in project planning.

Responsibilities:

• Create & execute test plans for engineering and production
• Documentation of test procedures, equipment, results and analysis
• Generate bug tickets in bug tracking system
• Work with HW, FW and SW teams to help prove root cause and validate solutions
• Component qualification testing
• Assist in development of production test systems
• Continuous improvement of development phase testing; automation, tools, methods, tests
• Build up test platforms; motherboard, drives, HBAs, memory, enclosure, OS install, BIOS conf.
• Provide scope and schedule for assigned tasks

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree in electronics technology, Military training, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with electronics
• Experience developing test plans and proving root cause
• Ability to clearly communicate plans, results and logic behind decisions
• Proficient in Windows 10, Linux, and MAC operating system environments
• Familiarity with storage devices in operating systems
• Python Programming language
• Experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience recommending solutions to issues discovered through investigative testing
• Mechanical aptitude; experience working on mechanical assemblies
• Experience with USB devices
• Experience with RAID devices
• Familiarity with SATA / SCSI protocols

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
