Location: Shirley, MA. MCI Shirley. Correctional Recovery Academy Program
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. Possibility of 12:30-8:30 PM shift

Pay rate: $20.1923/hour ($42,000 annually). Salary differential is offered to those who are fluent in the Spanish language.

The Therapeutic Community Technician is responsible for:

• Assisting in maintaining the therapeutic milieu in residential therapeutic programs.
• Monitoring clients, ensuring clients adhere to established schedules and rules, addressing behavioral issues appropriately, and working closely with Correctional Recovery Academy staff and management to ensure appropriateness of the program and clients in the program.
• Completion of basic documentation in the program and facilitates meetings and educational sessions as directed.
• Facilitating non-clinical meeting and educational sessions as defined by curriculum and as directed by the Program Director.
• Monitoring the therapeutic environment and assures offender compliance with all program and MA DOC rules and regulations.
• Ensuring clients promptly attend all scheduled groups, meetings, and sessions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience in substance abuse/chemical dependency field or closely related field preferred.
• Experience working in a Therapeutic Community model chemical dependency program or in corrections is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
• Based on a mandate from Massachusetts Department of Corrections, any Spectrum employee working in a MA DOC facility or pursuant to the MOUD Contract must be fully vaccinated and no exemptions are permitted.
