JOB SUMMARY:


Assists thermoformers in the operation of equipment and processing forms. Manually trimming sharp edges on robot cut materials.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions. Manually handle thermoformed parts. Use a deburring tool to trim forms. Apply decals, labels and UPC tags to formed parts according to engineering drawing or shop instructions. Apply hinges to formed parts according to engineering drawing or shop instructions. Group process scrap and apply tag with proper identification information. Inspect parts to ensure they meets quality standards; notify Production Supervisor of any defects. Pack finished goods according to engineering drawing or shop instructions. Know emergency procedures. Follow Company policy regarding the use of PPE. Other functions as required and assigned by the Production Supervisor or Team Lead.

RECOMMENDED POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


Have 1 year prior experience in a manufacturing environment. English; Spanish helpful. Ability to use power and hand tools. Good understanding of quality control principles.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


High School graduate or equivalent in training or experience.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear. Defined below:


Standard of 8 hours shift (on occasion longer shifts). Regular attendance is required with few unscheduled absences. Standing and walking throughout the shift. Lifting/carrying of up to 40 lbs. Use of both hands as necessary. Tools may include deburring tool, drill and hand tools. Push/pull up to 40 lbs. Reaching above and below shoulders is required. Operating equipment. Sweeping/mopping of areas as necessary-important to keep work area clean to comply with safe work practices and expectations.


WORK ENVIROMENT:


While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and elevated areas. The employee is frequently exposed to dust and extreme hot temperature areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Observes safety and security procedures, i.e. SDS. PPE, LOTO, Emergency Evacuations, Building Security; Reports potentially unsafe conditions and/or injuries: near miss/incidents/accidents; Uses equipment and materials properly.
