Tourism Development Executive based in Naas, Kildare (travel required). 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role (hospitality/tourism) is essential

Salary up to €55,000 (DOE)

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong hospitality or tourism experience and who want to promote Kildare as a destination.

Responsibilities:

· Business Development – conduct sales/recruitment and retention with local hospitality business in Kildare

· Manage sponsorships and manage key partnerships and relationships on an ongoing basis

· Support in the end-to-end process of events when necessary

· Contributing to the strategic plan objectives within the business

· Marketing – collaboration with 3rd parties to execute and implement marketing campaigns using traditional and digital channels

· Assist with the planning and execution of events

· Support key projects and steering groups

· Compile weekly, monthly and annual reports

· Conduct presentations for various stakeholders and meetings

· Attend tradeshows and events as and when necessary

Requirements:

· Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role (hospitality/tourism) is essential

· Educated to degree level

· Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Office

· Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills for report writing

· Flexible with the ability to work in a team setting but also independently and on own initiative to meet deadlines

· Strong project management skills

· Excellent relationship building/maintenance skills

· Proven track record of business development
