Role: Trade Counter Assistant / General Operative

Salary: €12.90 per hour

Duration: Permanent

Location: South Dublin

A fantastic opportunity has become available to join one of Ireland's leading builder’s merchants that provide a range of high-quality goods and materials to the construction industry nationwide. They are on the lookout for a trade counter assistant to join their team working with some of Ireland's major construction brands assisting them with orders and providing excellent customer service.

You’ll be capable of working in a fast-paced environment working at the trade counter handling customer queries over the phone by email and face to face. You will also be required to assist customers with their orders loading them safely and efficiently operating counterbalance and reach forklifts.

Responsibilities

· Dealing with customer queries over the phone and in store.

· Processing orders through the company system.

· Making outgoing calls and reaching daily KPIs.

· Assisting in the warehouse as required.

· Operating forklifts & PPTs

· Unloading deliveries

· Picking orders

Requirements

· Counterbalance & Reach Forklift License is essential

· Excellent communication skills and a friendly telephone manner.

· Experience working with Microsoft word is an advantage

· Ability to work towards targets and KPIs.

· A pro-active and optimistic attitude.

· A desire to learn and expand on existing product knowledge.

· Background in construction is an advantage.
