OVERVIEW:

Ours is a small, close-knit, positive-thinking team dedicated to supporting all lines of business within HWS and committed to helping employees become the best they can at whatever it is they do. While there will be opportunities to get involved in a variety of projects, this person will have a dominant focus on supporting our ever-growing team of travel recruiters and the intricate processes involved in putting clinicians to work.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Training & Development Specialist, Travel will assist with the research, development, and delivery of professional development trainings primarily for the travel recruitment team. The position will work closely with the Vice President of Professional Development, the Vice President of Travel, and the travel Directors to ensure accuracy of content, design and deployment, as well as other team members within and outside of the Professional Development Group as needed. Ideally, one of these resources will be based in Sunrise, Florida. The ability to be physically present in that office location is required as is some travel to field offices as necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :
- Perform desk-side coaching and mentoring to ensure recruiting fundamentals are mastered.
- Train employees to ensure most efficient use of staffing technologies.
- Partner with outside vendors to master external staffing tools and train internal staff of efficient usage of them.
- Supports HWS and HCA’s ethics, mission, vision, and values.
- Creates content and delivers best practice training sessions.
- Develop training modules that specify measurable learning objectives.
- Participate and actively support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Assists in the development and revision of content-specific, competency-based, and operational-based training modules using designated software.
- Maintains confidentiality with all company and regulatory information.
- Ability to travel as needed.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- In-depth knowledge and experience with HWS travel recruiting processes is strongly preferred.
- Ability to learn software applications and process flows quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Exceptional planning and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Technical Skills –proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Canva and Camtasia a plus.
- Experience using web-based development and authoring products such as learning management systems (LMS), Adobe, Captivate, SnagIT, WebEx.
- Healthcare staffing experience, specifically travel nurse staffing, preferred.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement.
EXPERIENCE:
Recruiting experience required. Healthcare travel recruiting experience highly preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Position requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
- Requires normal range of hearing, verbal communication and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriately to perform job responsibilities, lifting paper or boxes up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Work will be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.
- Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
