Our office is conveniently located in north Wilsonville, and we offer in office and remote working opportunities. The successful candidate will be assigned to work on multi-discipline transportation projects as a project engineer. Our goal is to help you develop a diverse background with experience in several different types of design. The work may include roadway, street, highway, freeway, transit, and multimodal design, along with construction documents, utility plans and all supporting documentation. Job responsibility includes design of complex roadway, highway, intersection, and interchange projects.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate projects with supervisor, project managers, and firm staff.
- Participate in business development activities.
- Provide sketches and/or detailed layout information to design staff for incorporation into the construction drawings.
- Design, prepare, or oversee the preparation plans in Autodesk Civil 3D or Microstation/InRoads software.
- Perform engineering computations, quantity take-off, and cost estimates.
- Prepare specifications and reports.
- Lead design tasks and provide assistance to Project Managers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer License in the State of Oregon or the ability to obtain within 1 year
- 3 to 5 years of civil engineering experience working on roadway related transportation projects is preferred
- AutoCad Civil 3D or Microstation/InRoads/OpenRoads design experience
- Familiarity with preparation of technical specifications and engineer’s estimates
- Previous construction inspection/observation experience is a plus
- Experience in water, storm water and sanitary sewer conveyance is a plus
- Local experience in Oregon is a plus
