This position is a full-time Interventional Radiology Tech in Special Procedures. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with both patients and healthcare professionals and should be highly organized. This position requires travel to Pikeville, KY and is a 13 week long travel assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Treat patients with interventional radiology manipulations.
• Perform complex imaging procedures required for interventional radiology treatments.
• Discuss and explain results of interventional radiology procedure with physician.
• Convey research about treatment effectiveness to other healthcare staff.
• Inject dye into veins for the purpose of imaging heart function.
• Educate patients about their condition, the treatment plan, and the risks and benefits of treatments.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduation from an Accredited Radilogic Technology Program
• AART Certification
• Kentucky State Certification
• BLS (AHA)
• EKG Class is required and annual recertification
