The Role

Under the direction of Working Shop Supervisor , the Truck Driver is responsible for preparing and managing shipments and inventory stock items.

Requirements

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Key Result Items

• Submit shift employee schedule to meet or exceed production goals and customer requirements.
• Class B CDL for delivering and picking up customer material
• Safely operate fork trucks for moving, loading, & unloading materials
• Daily forklift inspections
• Communicating with customers & vendors either verbally or via computer (email or Microsoft Teams)
• Preparing & staging all outgoing shipments (equipment, rolls, crates, packages, boxes, etc.)
• Receiving UPS, FedEx, postal packages, and distribution to proper locations within the shop
• Storeroom house cleaning
• Maintaining inventory stock items
• Ability to safely use overhead crane, including but not limited to loading and unloading rolls from trucks
• Assist drivers to properly & safely secure outgoing loads
• Build custom size wooden boxes for rolls using table saw & nail gun
• Assist Shipping Manager with any other duties as assigned
• Assist Shipping Manager with any other duties as assigned
• MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE ON SECURING CARGO ON A FLATBED TRUCK”
