Job description

We are looking for a professional security guard to ensure the comfort and safety of our clients. The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report.

Hours

• This shift is very early morning hours. Shifts begin at 5:00 AM and conclude around 12:30 PM.
• Hours available in Newport News and Williamsburg area- full time hours likely available.

Responsibilities

• Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
• Report in detail any suspicious incidents
• Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
• Monitor and control access at building entrances

Skills

• Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
• Surveillance skills and detail orientation
• Integrity and professionalism

Hours

• This shift is very early morning hours. Shifts begin at 5:00 AM and conclude around 12:30 PM.
• This is a part-time position to begin, with the potential for more hours.
• Facility is open Monday-Saturday
• VALID DCJS REQUIRED.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
