Belle Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a full-time Unit Clerk to assist our nursing management team.
Salary: $17.00 per Hour
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Deliver new admission chart to the unit and initiate forms in preparation for admission.
- Faxes physicians' orders daily - first thing in the morning from the previous shifts.
- Delivers any faxed printouts to the appropriate department.
- Completes daily transfer of the vital signs and weights from the daily assignment sheet to the resident's chart.
- Check the supply drawers at the nurses' station and re-stock as needed.
- Maintain an orderly and neat nurses' station.
- Screen all incoming phone calls for nursing and forward messages.
- Schedule appointments with physicians for residents and relay the information to nursing
- Initiate any phone calls to the physician, family members, or personnel.
- Document information as directed by Nursing Administration.
- Notify the Food Service Department of any dietary changes.
- Ensure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.
