UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Inc.

Position: Unmounted Program Assistant Manager
Supervisor: Unmounted Program Manager
Hours: Full Time hourly
*flex schedule as needed to facilitate evening and weekend events/retreats

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience directly working with horses REQUIRED. Current

PATH Intl ESMHL preferred. If not currently certified, possess qualifications to be eligible for certification in a timely manner

• Able to safely manage groups of up to 15 people
• This is an active position, with a mixture of teaching and administrative responsibilities.

Applicants must be able to life 50lbs, be able to be on your feet (standing, walking) for up to 3 consecutive hours, and traverse varied terrain (indoor/outdoor arenas, uneven ground to and in paddocks, hills, and a wooded trail.)

• Ability to be flexible and adapt to rapidly changing scenarios
• Creative problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, as well as effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain professional, confidentiality, and high standards of service.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize, with a strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Assist with referrals, paperwork, intakes and group facilitation
• Assist with the maintenance of data base
• Collaborate with Program Director and Unmounted Manager to develop and implement programs to meet community needs and generate revenue
• Participate in community meetings to develop collaborations and educate community members
• Assist the representation of UpReach at various events to develop collaborations

Instructor Responsibilities:

• Maintain/Obtain PATH Intl. ESMHL certification
• Teach/facilitate unmounted lessons/sessions and retreats as scheduled
• Complete progress reports each term as required
• Supervise volunteers in lessons/sessions
• Participate in retreats and other unmounted program related activities as requested
• Participate in the evaluation and exercise of program horses as requested

General:

• Maintain PATH Intl. Standards, State and Federal laws and UpReach policies & procedures
• Other duties as requested that support the mission of the organization

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
