Job Summary:

The Subsystems Make Center – Electro-Optical Seeker and Precision Assembly (EOSPA) factory includes product-focused factories that assemble and test products in support of the Raytheon Missiles & Defense portfolio of weapons to the war fighter. Emphasizing mission assurance by encouraging initiative at all levels, the Subsystems Make Center manages customer commitments through quality, cost, and schedule execution. The Subsystems Make Center’s goal is to achieve “No Doubt” solutions and instill confidence in our customers by providing consistently reliable products.

You will report to a Value Stream Manager and be responsible for the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives through coaching and teaching in the factories, collaborating with key support staff personnel and other Mission Area stakeholders to deliver measurable performance improvement.

You will be providing support for tactical and strategic business metrics, opportunity identification, realization and risk mitigation, development of teams, resource prioritization, project execution to achieve sustainable results and transformational business impact.

You will be involved in the direct support of manufacturing activities that will require spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. You must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. You will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in a manufacturing support role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Participate in factory execution teams
• Partnering with key stakeholders to identify, prioritize and manage progress toward tactical and strategic improvement needs
• Supporting Continuous Improvement Operating Systems and project portfolio execution
• Driving special projects critical to performance and strategic objectives
• Supporting employee development and talent pipeline
• Encouraging innovative and entrepreneurial mindset centered on data driven decisions and promote rapid action toward implementing solutions
• Developing and propagating best practices; leverage benchmarking and enterprise engagement
• Identifying systemic issues; driving to root cause and sustainable corrective and preventative actions

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing and two years of experience in Operations/Maufacturing. An additional 2 years of Manufacturing leadership experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college OR An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 3 years’ experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
