Osborne Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading food manufacturer in Co. Kildare, who are looking to make the addition of a Vendor & Specifications Technologist to their team based in Naas.

The purpose of this role is to maintain and manage the raw material, dry ingredient, and packaging Vendor Management system, in line with EU Food Legislation, Customer & Retailer requirements, ensuring that they comply with both customer and legal requirements. If you have a BSc Food Science & Technology and Good knowledge of EU Food Legislation, we’d love to hear from you!

You will have:

· 3 years plus experience in a similar role with high volume specification needs

· Excellent knowledge of BRC and previous experience with meat supplier approval systems

· Good understanding of labelling legislation & Quid

· Experience with large retailers Codes of practice & specification systems

· Ideally Lean problem-solving training, BRC Level 8 and HACCP level 5

· Excellent written report writing skills & IT skills

This is an excellent opportunity if you have a proven track record in a high-risk food environment and Vendor Management and Supplier Risk Assessment knowledge.

You will be:

• Supplier approval & maintenance of the Vendor Databases

• Generating and managing raw material specifications

• Managing the Module 11 data base for meat suppliers

• Managing the Retailer & Customer codes of practice and final product specifications

• Hosting Supplier approval sections during Customer Audits

• Dealing with customer technical queries and closing same out

• Generating customer specifications and directly liaising with customers

• Ensuring specification & labelling information is accurate and complies with food labelling legislation
