Overview:
Shift: Mental health is a top priority at Kutter Pet Care Clinic. We typically offer a 4-day work week to support work-life balance, with every 3rd Saturday rotating Saturday shifts. Our hours are as follows:
Compensation: Our compensation package consists of pay in the $17 - $20 range, based on experience and credentialing. This position does come with a potential yearly bonus.
We utilize our Veterinary Technician's to the fullest and have many opportunities for coaching and learning along the way. We offer the high quality treatment modalities and diagnostics.
The ideal candidate must be a self-propelled, self-starter with proficient technical skills.
We expect our veterinary technicians to work together to efficiently drive the flow of patients each day, and provide a high standard of care while having fun at work. Because of this we have very little turnover among our team.

We have been serving dogs, cats and exotics in Wichita and the surrounding areas since 1979. Our thriving multi-doctor, small animal practice, is spacious (10,000 SQ. FT.) and modern. This facility also operates as a grooming facility, boarding kennel and doggy day care. We have a very experienced staff with great tenure.

- Monday – Friday 7:30 - 6
- Saturday 7:30 - 12:00
- Sundays - CLOSED

Responsibilities:
How you'll make an impact:
Maintain and uphold Core Values and Mission Statement of MVP.
- Provide guidance to the support staff to assure that the shift flows well
- Provide input to the hospital manager for 360-degree employee performance evaluations.
- Provide patient care under the supervision and direction of a DVM.
- Maintain excellent client communication.
- Record all pertinent medical, client and case related information in the patient record accurately with appropriate grammar, terms, and accurate information.
- Review medical records, estimates or discharge instructions with clients.
- Answer client’s inquiries about basic animal care questions and routine procedures; handle client’s medical questions with confidence and direct to veterinarians when appropriate.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some veterinary industry experience required.
- Must be proficient in a variety of skills ranging from but not limited to laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental and nursing skills.
- Ability to demonstrate patience and composure in stressful situations, and ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis.
- Ability to give SQ, IM and IV injections.
- Knowledge of usage, dosage, and common side-effects for commonly used prescription drugs and ability to readily explain them to the clients.
