Church Pension Group (CPG) is a financial services firm located in Midtown Manhattan. CPG was founded in 1917 to provide pension benefits to eligible clergy of the Episcopal Church. Since then, its mission has expanded to include life and disability insurance, health benefits, property & casualty insurance, and publishing.

The Benefits Relationship Management (BRM) Team is responsible for relationship management with the institutions and individuals that CPG serves. BRM will collaborate with partners at CPG and external faculty to create impactful points of connection with benefits clients (existing and prospective) so that all come to understand, access and appreciate the products, programs and services we offer.

The VP Faculty Management & Training will manage external CREDO faculty and act as liaison with other denominations. They will be responsible for developing, conducting, and organizing products, program, presentation, and executive presence training for external faculty and BRM team. They will identify individual and company training needs through meetings with managers and understanding development needs. This role is also responsible for managing the Financial Conversations team.

This position is open to candidates in the Tri-State area, who will be expected to report into the NYC office three days a week.

This position is also open to fully remote candidates outside of the Tri-State area, who will work from their home office.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for management of external faculty including:

  • Recruitment and selection
  • Day to day leadership, management, addressing faculty performance, issues, and concerns
  • Manage faculty contract process
  • Liaise with Web team to manage website content
  • Liaise with Content/Creative and faculty to support creation of curriculum modules
  • Liaise with Research to ensure evaluation process for CREDO, PFW, EYR and other B2C events
  • Work collaboratively with Events as necessary to ensure smooth and professional CPG events

Responsible for professional development and training strategy for all external and internal B2B and B2C faculty as well as BRM team members which includes:

  • Evaluate employee and faculty performance to gauge where skills are lacking
  • Create training programs to address skill gaps and prepare learning materials for program
  • Develop and manage onboarding programs for new employees and faculty

Financial Conversations:

  • Manage the team responsible for financial planning and retirement discussions, including clergy tax support

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

  • Extensive CPG benefit knowledge and business acumen
  • Extensive knowledge of the Episcopal Church

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


  • BA\BS or combination of education and experience
  • MBA/post graduate degree preferred
  • 10+ years relevant work experience
  • Ordination in the Episcopal Church preferred
Travel will be required for this position.
Employees in Tri-State area: Estimated travel up to 40%.
Employees outside of Tri-State area: Estimated travel up to 50%

Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000
