Vice President - Onboarding and Product Owner
Job description
As a product owner, you will be the champion for the needs and goals of both your stakeholders who use your product - Know Your Client (KYC) - and for clients of AWM. Your role will involve close partnership with Design, Operations, Technology and Business stakeholders on taking a feature or product through the entire product management lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities:
- Defining strategy, operating model, and roadmap to achieve vision and business goals
- Anticipating and prioritizing need and managing the product backlog
- Working with product users, control partners, designers, and engineers to understand the pain points, define opportunities, prototype and test solutions, craft epics and stories, ensure sprint inputs (e.g. design and requirements) and outputs (e.g. tested code) are as envisioned, and measure outcomes of the implementation
- Collaborating with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) team to ensure product changes are understood and plan for testing is in place
- Communicating with stakeholders, partners and product teams to ensure clarity on the roadmap, strategy, instructions
- Establishing the approach to pilot/rollout new capabilities, including objective/scope, population selection, communication, training/support, feedback/metrics
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- BA/BS degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience in a professional setting, preferably with experience in wealth management, asset management, digital banking, or a closely related business leading strategic or transformational change
- Experience building a strategy and roadmap across a large, diverse, global organization
- Experience writing user stories - Agile certification a plus
- Experience working in an Agile team to gather business requirements, perform detailed analysis, and document user stories; experience in working with technology development teams during build and implementation phases
- 3-5 years of experience working on medium to large technology projects
- Proficient with Microsoft products including; Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio and/or Change Mobilization Toolset: Signavio, Alteryx, Xceptor
- Proficient in Jira and Confluence
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in writing business and functional system requirements.
- Strong Project Management and organization skills with consistent attention to detail
- The ability to manage expectations by establishing clear timelines, deliverables and milestones
- Creative problem solving and solid judgment decision making; research, gather, arrange, compile, summarize and evaluate data in recommending solutions
