Job description
We are currently hiring VMware Sr. Consultant. The role entails solution design and implementation of both simple and complex virtualisation infrastructure projects. The role requires full solution design experience of server consolidation and infrastructure optimisation projects, including new builds and upgrades using mostly VMware ESX & vSphere, IBM & HP Server and SAN as well as a strong technical ability in migrations, backup infrastructure and disaster recovery.
Responsibilities
- Act as reliable Technical Pre-Sales resource for sales engagements and opportunities
- Creation and review of customer technical proposals that meet customer's needs
- Creation and review of Solution Specifications using Proposal and requirement documentation as input
- Installation and delivery of solutions on customer site; effectively deal with customer issues.
- Create and own full project and solution technical documentation to Triangle and customer standards
- Act as Level 3 Infrastructure Support Engineer for customer support issues and incidents
Skills Required:
- VCP Certified with 5+ years' experience with VMware and associated product range
- 4+ years' experience of Data Storage and Management: FC and iSCSI SAN implementation experience required; design experience highly desirable
- 3+ years of Veeam and/or other Back Up Solutions Experience
- Strong technical design ability and expertise in the implementation and configuration of Virtual & physical infrastructure solutions essential.
- Experience of capacity planning and sizing methodologies for server consolidation and virtualisation projects required
- Design and Implementation of High Availability Solutions required.
- Cloud management tools experience and ITIL Foundation Certified highly desirable
- Security & Linux experience desirable.
