The Warehouse Associate is a reliable, accountable and dependable individual who can organize well and manage multiple tasks. This position supports nearly all departments internally in shipping and receiving, as well as managing the warehouse inventory in an accurate and detail-oriented manner. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the overall safety of themselves and others in the warehouse and production areas. Observe and maintain high standards for safety as part of your everyday life. Ensure that you are knowledgeable enough to guide others in following safety measures. Responsibilities include forklift operation, inventory control, pulling and packaging orders, staging pallets, loading trucks, and processing shipments. Requires ability to learn and use computer systems.

Receiving:

  • Unload trucks using forklift, pallet jack, or by hand
  • Visually verifies parts and condition of parts.
  • Physically count incoming freight and receive via computer system.

Stocking:

  • Verifies product and quantity going into stock.
  • Puts product in correct location utilizing FIFO.
  • Accurately create labels and place in correct locations.

Order Filling:

  • Prioritizes orders to be fulfilled.
  • Fulfill orders by verifying product and quantities are correct.
  • Fulfill orders to appropriate shipping or processing area.
  • Packages product in appropriate quantities and containers.
  • Packages order to prevent damage during shipment.

Shipping:

  • Verifies orders match what is to ship.
  • Ships order using appropriate shipping methods.
  • Load trucks using forklift or pallet jacks.

Miscellaneous:

  • Corrects and/or reports any inventory inaccuracy or problem resulting in customer dissatisfaction.
  • Performs cycle counts.
  • Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization.
  • Responsible for maintaining general housekeeping of work area to ensure a safe and organized environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Review relevant information regularly to stay informed.
  • Understand risk assessment and communicate openly with management.
  • Listen to your colleagues about potential hazards.
  • Learn from your mistakes to better use safe work practices.
  • Take care of your body and mind to stay alert while performing your duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

We pride ourselves on being flexible, but there are some things we feel strongly about. An ideal candidate must exhibit the following traits:

  • High energy, FUN, positive attitude
  • High school diploma/GED, and/or equivalent experience is required.
  • Must be safe minded in everything you do.
  • Material handling, forklift or previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret and comprehend documents such as training instructions, shipping tickets, procedure manuals, etc. at a fast pace.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, with frequent lifting of 30-60 pounds.
  • Ability to solve problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to use computers, software & other technology for inventory & communication purposes
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Must pass forklift training and maintain forklift certification.
